Chairing a high-level meeting with the School Education Department on Friday, she laid out her vision to ensure “no child in Punjab is left behind due to lack of opportunity.”

“Every school will have all necessary facilities, including functional toilets,” she vowed.

- Urgent repair of 580 dilapidated and 2,770 unsafe school buildings
- Construction of 195 new classrooms and 397 roofs in outsourced schools
- Installation of 4,066 toilets, 8,488 furniture sets, and 100 water filtration plants

Punjab is stepping boldly into the future with Tech-Ed schools, STEM labs, and solar-powered classrooms.
CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized her priority to “reimagine the classroom” through:
- Smart boards
- Fully equipped IT and science labs
- Multipurpose playgrounds
- Libraries to foster a reading culture

Over the next five years, 1,750 existing schools will be upgraded, starting with 250 in the next fiscal year.
