The examination schedule of matriculation for 2025, by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has been announced. The Board of Secondary Education Karachi confirmed the Part 1 and Part 2 exams will be starting on April 8, 2025.
According to BSEK officials, this year’s exams will see the participation of over 375,000 students from across the city. A total of 499 examination centres have been designated to accommodate the candidates, and the list of these centres is available on the BSEK’s official website.
Revised Dates Due to Ramadan
The schedule was revised after the original dates conflicted with the holy month of Ramadan. In response, the Sindh government approved a new timetable to ensure students could observe religious practices without academic pressure.
Strict Measures at Examination Centers
In a statement, BSEK Chairman Syed Sharaf Ali Shah confirmed that all students have been issued computerized admit cards and preparations are complete to ensure a smooth and secure examination process.
He also emphasized the implementation of strict rules at the examination centers, including:
- A complete ban on mobile phones and electronic gadgets.
- Instant confiscation of devices found with students.
- Monitoring staff deployed at each centre to ensure discipline and transparency.
Practical Exam Schedule Yet to Be Announced
The schedule for practical examinations has not been released yet. BSEK has assured that it will be shared in the coming days through official channels.
Sindh Academic Year 2025 Updates
In related news, the new academic session for schools across Sindh officially began today, April 7, 2025, while colleges will commence their academic year on August 1, 2025.
The summer and winter vacation schedules remain unchanged:
- Summer Break: June 1 to July 31
- Winter Break: December 22 to December 31
Students Urged to Prepare and Follow Rules
Education authorities have urged students to complete their preparations and strictly adhere to BSEK guidelines to avoid any issues on exam day.
