BISE Rawalpindi Revolutionizes 2025 Board Exams With Unprecedented Reforms

In a landmark move that’s setting a new benchmark for academic integrity across Pakistan, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has introduced sweeping changes in the 9th Class First Annual 2025 exams, ushering in a new era of merit, transparency, and technology-driven examination reforms.

What’s Changing

  • Zero-tolerance policy on cheating
  • Real-time digital surveillance across all centers
  • Online reporting system to streamline oversight
  • Surprise inspections by top officials
  • Deployment of trained, ethical staff only

These board exam reforms are being celebrated as a model examination system that could shape the future of education, not just in Punjab, but all across Pakistan.

Student-Centered, Tech-Driven

Under the visionary leadership of Chairman Muhammad Adnan Khan and Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan, BISE Rawalpindi has transformed its examination protocols.

Backed by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, and Secretary Higher Education Dr. Farrukh Naveed, the new policies focus on:

  • Eliminating the cheating mafia
  • Ensuring equal opportunity for all students
  • Leveraging CCTV monitoring and AI-driven evaluation tools

“We’ve shattered the old system. The cheating mafia has been completely eliminated—every single attempt has failed,” said Chairman Adnan Khan during a press briefing.

Field Inspections Reinforce Integrity

Controller Tanveer Awan conducted on-ground inspections at several institutions, including:

  • Lawrence College Ghora Gali
  • Government Riyaz Model High School, Sahr Bagla Murree
  • Government High School Potha Murree
  • Government Boys High School, Gulyana Gujjar Khan

At each center, CCTV operations and attendance protocols were scrutinized to ensure compliance with the Punjab government’s strict anti-malpractice policies.

Restoring Faith in the System

According to Controller Awan, these technology-driven reforms have restored confidence among parents and students, signaling a fresh start for the future of education in Pakistan.

“We’ve only appointed trained, responsible, and honest staff. Our mission is simple: fair exams for every student.”

What This Means for Students

  • Clear student exam guidelines to follow
  • A new marking scheme 2025 based on learning outcomes
  • Updated exam format reflecting modern curriculum changes
  • A focus on concept-based testing rather than rote memorization

These changes are part of a broader academic policy update that aligns with global standards and fosters critical thinking skills in students.

Why This Matters

For decades, Pakistan’s exam boards have struggled with cheating scandals and inconsistent evaluation standards.

With these groundbreaking reforms, BISE Rawalpindi is setting an example for other education boards to follow, making it one of the most impactful education reforms in Pakistan in recent history.
